This workshop coincided with a new exhibition showcasing photographs of China, Siam and Cambodia produced by John Thomson in the nineteenth century. I presented research on the role Thomson’s photographs played in the making and unmaking of Angkor as a site of heritage.You can read more about the workshop here. The exhibition was held at The Brunei Gallery, SOAS, from 13 April to 23 June 2018.
